Does it make you a bad person if you stole from your own family to support your coke habit?

If so, how do learn to become a better person ?

I am a recovered cocaine addict and I stole from my family and everybody else that I could steal from. After getting treatment which took a good five years an inpatient self-imposed care. I learned how to live a responsible life and I began to pay my bills and build a life. Once you start to live responsibly and pay back what you have stolen people will begin to have respect for you again.

Yes. It makes you a bad person.

How do you become a better person? Simple. Treat others as you want to be treated. Put yourself in their shoes. How would you feel if your family stole from you?
