What to do with $15,000?

Should I invest it? Start a business? Just leave it in the bank? But I would like to make money off of it some how

Invest some in educating yourself, rest investment projects. Educating yourself will pay you better for sure.

do not leave it in a bank they don't pay good interest

instead, consider establishing a no fee brokerage account, say at Schwab or Fidelity or TD Ameritrade, and put half in dividend paying stocks like AAPL or INTC and the other half in a high quality no commission etf like SCHB (broad market)

You need to sit down and set your financial goals, then find appropriate investments or savings vehicles to met each of those goals. So what to do with $15,000 will be different for everyone.

What age? What position in life? Short term and long term goals ? (car, college, wedding, house ??) Leave it in the bank, Some in checking, and ladder 3 or 4 CD's - maybe using one to get a secured credit card.

I would put maybe a $1000 in savings and then invest the rest of it.

    Don't start a business. You'll need more than $15,000.

I'd invest some, but not most at a time.
