Do you think software development has reached its peak? I can't think of anything else novel to develop that hasn't been already developed?

Update:

Change in hardware or something involving hardware is the only route to innovation I am thinking

    Software development has actually regressed. Commercial programs are now created by inexperienced programmers.

    That you "can't think of anything else" isn't about the future of software development. It's about your level of imagination and creativity.

      That's ridiculous, that's when we really started to develope these computers and cell phones. Starting a tech boom.
