    Because said adult is attractive...

At 14, I was masturbating to my 52 year old algebra teachers shapely breasts which were very visible because she would wear form fitting clothes.

It is never the child's fault. If a young person has erotic yearnings completely unnatural to prepubescence, it is always because an older person introduced them to these desires at a time when they were not yet designed for it or ready for it. It is usually the result of selfishness and sickness on the part of the aggressor, and the victim is often traumatized for life by it...leading them into pursuing perversions and activities that they otherwise wouldn't.

The very idea is horrific, but it's more likely the child is seeking a parental figure in an adult and, if they are entering their pre-teen years, may exhibit pseudo-sexual thoughts and ideas that are not clear or organised well. In other words, child emotionally mixes sexual desire/ curiousity with want for an adult that will protect them and be kind to them. The child is afraid, lonely and at the same time, is becoming a teen.

It's best to provide moral support to the child and discourage their sexual desire/ curiousity as safely as possible. Certainly don't allow anything sexual to actually happen - not only immoral and evil, but also illegal.

probably cause some other adult might be molesting them, i would ask the child about it, that could be why they pursue it

Why do you pedophiles feel the need to share your fantasies? Are you just too cheap to get a therapist?

They don't have the brain capacity to understand the consequences - that is why it is called statutory rape.

Without illegal and immoral coercion, they wouldn't.

They don't know any better. It's more likely the adult who is projecting and/or fantasizing and/or trying to justify their crime. And pedophilia is a crime. And it is a crime for a reason. It messes up the child's life. Many pedophiles try to justify their crime by pretending that the child wants it or even initiates it (it's a lie used to cover up a serious crime).
