Is it possible to sell instant soup as gourmet soup at an upscale restaurant that customers will pay top dollar for?

At an upscale restaurant? You think people are stupid? Even Sweet Tomatoes has fresh, homemade soup.

The notion that diners are paying $300 for food they don't actually understand sounds good to the Taco Bell crowd. But it's simply not true. You could sell instant soup (somehow, I guess) but nobody would eat it.

    Fraudulently, of course it's possible.

It's a very common thing to put a beef bouillon cube or a chicken bouillon cube or an onion instant soup in a silver bowl and sprinkle a couple of particles of gold dust on top of it and sell it in a gourmet restaurant as gold soup! And charge $15 a bowl for it here you see a piece of tofu and some celery and some instant soup with a couple of flakes of gold on the top of it for $15
