Is it true that China has never put another country under pressure in order to bend it to its will?
Regarding the trade war, China states that it will never bend to U.S. pressure. I presume by this that China recognizes such behavior by the U.S.A. to be negative , and that China would not itself engage in such undesirable behavior. It would logically follow that China has never put another country under pressure, economically or otherwise. My question is therefore: Is it true that China has never put another country under pressure in order to bend that country to China's will? If you can think of an example, please be specific in order to get best answer.

No its not true, China has used its UN veteo vote directly related to Chinese interests, China veteo a UN vote on the Guatemalan Peace Process 1994-1996 due to Guatemalans stand on Taiwan. China made it clear that the only problem with it was Guatemalans stand on Taiwan.

Absolute rubbish,Taiwan, Tibet, Hong Kong quickly come to mind and then there are the small Island nations all over the Pacific who now have roads to nowhere and Infrastructure projects that are meaningless to them and a huge financial debt owed to China. Then of course there are those rebuilt islands in the South China sea that are in areas claimed by all sorts of other countries like Vietnam etc
