Trump waives student loans for disabled veterans, are you for or against it?

All Trump did was to allow the U.S. Department of Education to be PROACTIVE where permanently and totally disabled Vets are concerned. ANYONE with a permanent and total disability can apply to have their student loans forgiven. The President merely decided to allow the U.S. Department of Education to touch base with the VA - who knows who and where these people are - and "declare" their loans forgiven. The Veteran, instead of having to apply for this, just receives it, unless the veteran wishes to opt out. Why would one opt out? The way this program works is that disability related loan forgiveness is only permanent IF the student never wants another student loan. If the Veteran wishes to return to school and borrow a student loan, then that Veteran must re-accept his/her total student loan indebtedness and may NOT reapply for another disability-related loan forgiveness.

Probably against. They have a good income (disability and G I Bill).

For it- as long as he doesn't change his mind next week, as he typically does. This is an attempt to pander to voters, but the government is doing very little to help veterans, so this is at least a start.

A student is able, whereas a disabled vet is not. I'm for it.
