Is disposable wooden cutlery a real alternative to plastic?

    Yes it is an alternative. Just maybe not the best. However it won't stay in the ocean for thousands of years.

    It would be better to use steel cutlery and just wash it. After a hundred years it can still be melted down into something new.

    They used to provide molded wooden sporks and of course flat spoons with Dixie cups. But it would be better not to dispose at all. Use solid gold cultery if you want, Just keep it rolled up in your napkin.

    why is plastic cutlery not recyclable. why is a straw not recyclable. hear all the time they are not .
