Federer is the best tennis player around the world, so no matter new players are coming Federer is a legend.

Not too easy.
He worked to get that good.
But both of them can catch his record now.

I would not say that he had it too easy, but yes it was not the same as after Nadal & Djokovic cam along, but even if it was,so what? All you can ask someone to do is beat the players that they play against.

Yes that is the main factor in fed collecting numerous ‘easy’ slams from 2003-2007 or so. Check the actual stats, but it was when Rafa came on the scene with Djokovic around 07 or so that feds slams dried up relatively. In 03 Sampras was gone and Hewitt / safin was a main threat to Fed. Hewitt has no weapon besides tenacity. 03 Wimbledon philipousis was the opponent. In 2006 I think an aged Agassi pushes fed in the final to 4 sets. Yes Fed had it easy in the window of the post Sampras era until Rafa and Djokovic grew up
