The NRA And Gun Sellers Profit Massively From Mass Shootings. Is this why Trump won't take action to prevent school shootings?

    Yes.

The Republican party is bought and paid for by the NRA which is a lobbying group for the gun industry. And the gun industry wants to keep guns flowing to criminals. Now, of course, the large majority of gun sales are to law abiding citizens looking for guns for lawful reasons. But if even something lik 1-2% of gun sales are to criminals (which isn't crazy) then that's a market share worth fighting for. Gun companies don't want to lose the profits which come from criminal gun sales, especially since criminals tend to buy guns more frequently than law abiding citizens do.

    He's tried to take action.

What action would you suggest he take?

And, you know, you people are obsessed with the NRA.

If they disappeared tomorrow, ten years from now, nothing would have changed.

The GOP has offered a number of alternatives to secure " Gun Free Zones " but the Democrats have blocked them all .

It appears the Democrats prefer to have the ' political capital ' of shootings more than they wish to stop them .
