If Donald Trump declares a national emergency because his wall won’t get built, will that be an abuse of power?

    In some people's opinions, yes it would be. Luckily for the American public, opinions don't hold as much weight as our Constitution.

    Depends on rather he sees it as a national emergency or not. There's nothing in it for him personally.

    I'm guessing the courts would put a hold on that though. He's probably going to win it long term, but you know.

    Courts are about to run out of money too.

    No. National security can be used to declare a national emergency. He can then directly use funding to be used by the National Guard to build a wall.

    All Constitutional.

    Absolutely. Not getting your way is not an emergency. I don't care how you feel about the wall, it does not qualify as an emergency.
