It's really hard to make money from the arts in general. Remember van Gogh didn't sell a single painting during his lifetime, and look what's happened since his death. It doesn't mean you have no talent, necessarily. It's that competition is fierce, as is recognition.
Jobs from home involve things like running an online business from home, selling on sites like Amazon and Ebay, or dog walking or child watching (complicated).
Lots of people get to work by walking or taking the bus, so are you quite sure you've investigated the possibility of doing that as an alternative. You can't be proud as to what you think you are prepared to do. Find a job on a bus route and apply for it and then when you get it, just do it.
Because the truth is that being in work is the doorway to more work. An employment record and a person with drive and determination to be earning. Putting obstacles in your own way shows that you don't have those, so try to step it up a bit.
