There are no legal options to download Wii games for free. Sites that provide such titles will be violating copyright law & promoting software piracy.

Additionally, it would require you to modify the system (typically through software options as it has the lowest barrier of entry compared to hardware-based options) to utilize such files... which voids any warranty you may have & permits Nintendo to refuse any repair services to the system (as you're breaking Nintendo's Acceptable Usage Policy).


As for the Wii Shop, it is currently in the "Archive Phase" of it's sunset policy. Users may download any games they legally purchased previously, but they cannot purchase funds (Wii Points) as of March 26, 2018. The Wii Shop will permanently shut down on January 30th, 2019.

Not that I know of. Nintendo shut down the Wii servers years ago.
