Will the Nintendo Switch last long or will it just die out like the Wii u ?

All consoles die out, as you put it.

The typical sales life of a game console is about 7 years. After that, the company releases a newer platform. Games for the older console will continue to be released for a a few years after that.

So I'd expect the Switch be around well beyond 2025.

Switch outsold the Wii U's 4.5 year lifetime sales in 10 months and is set to at least double that by the end of the year. I think it will be around for a while.

It’ll probably last longer than the Wii U. It’s getting better third party support but it still can’t compete with the ps4 and Xbox one.
