Your TV manual should say , one way or another. Obviously the primary purpose is to alter the sounds coming from the TV's internal speakers, since most AV receivers have their own complement of Tweaks, balance controls and settings. Piling one set on another is both counterproductive, and occasionally a really bad idea. So tweaked output may be excluded from export, The internal TV speakers are of known size, spacing, frequency response, and the manufacturer has a better idea how such modifications will affect them.. The manufacturer of course has no Idea what add - on speakers or systems you have, or where placed, or what other modifications you might apply. But, the manual shoulld still note in passing whether the output is only "raw" or not.
