Something in computers and technology.
No, NOT designing video games! Everyone I know who has gone into the video game industry, burned out within a few years, and never touched a video game, again. If you've been reading articles about video games, you should already know how tough and brutal of an industry it is. Your job lives or dies based on whether your game is profitable or not - and even then, if the publisher (e.g. EA) decides it doesn't want to continue your game, you'll end up laid off even if your game or franchise WAS very popular and profitable (e.g. look at what happened to the studio responsible for the Dead Space games.) And when you are employed, you're working long hours against an impossible schedule, all the while being paid far less than just about any other section of the industry.
So, yes, become a graphic artist, or a story writer, or a computer programmer...but DON'T go into the video game industry. Leave video games as your HOBBY.
You'll be happier and saner that way.
