Honestly...it's a bad compromise between a handheld, and a home console.
Like all bad compromises, I feel it fails as both a handheld AND a true home console.
By essentially using a tablet, the home console's capabilities are severely hampered, while only increasing its price.
Meanwhile the removable controllers are small, cheap feeling, and have had connectivity problems.
The biggest issue the WIi-U had was a near complete lack of (good) 3rd party games. The Switch seems to be addressing that, at least in the indie area. It remains to be seen how the Switch will do in drawing more 3rd party developers to its side.
Will I buy one? If there are enough exclusive games for it that I want to play, then I'll buy one. For me that's 5 games. It's not there yet. I'll keep waiting.
