7/16 is 12 point right? Yeah, it is a 12mm. Might as well buy yourself a cheap set of metric sockets up to 19mm and all 6 point sockets.
Otherwise you are looking for a socket in the 13/32 range. It is easier to find cheap no name brand metric sockets than going into /32 or /64ths.
Much stuff is metric. Many cars, appliances, bikes, motorcycles.
Many places would not need a lock if all they got to do is put a metric bolt through the door and then you are screwed. It would be cheaper than a Lock.
25mm is close enough to 1 inch.
1/2" is(slightly smaller) but close to 13mm that a 6 point 13mm can be used.
I bought a cheap set of sockets 3/8" &1/4"drive 40 pce that also had imp. measure along with the metric measure.
Asian cars common metric bolts are 14,12,10
German cars common metric bolts are 19,17,15,13,10,8,6
My cheap set cost $10.00 30 years ago...still got it and use it. Sure the odd one has broke(using 3ft cheater pipe for leverage but otherwise all are good. Should think about a cheap set of open ended wrenches too. Mine cost $5 for 12 sizes . Each wrench has 2 sizes.
You know you will run into this metric bolt size more than once. You can't plier them off.
