Food, I got some Ball Real Fruit No Sugar Pectin. It says 3 Tbsp = 1 old box. This means what?

Also when and how do you use this when making the jelly. When is the pectin put into the juice? Thank You this is driving me nuts!

3 tablespoons of pectin was in 1 packet in the boxes that were sold. In my part of the world, I can still get it in boxes.

as to how to use it? Lookup jelly/jam recipes and it will tell you.

Actually there should have been recipes with your pectin.

I'd say it means that if you are using a recipe which calls for "1 box" of pectin, but you are using the pectin from a container larger than a standard box of pectin, then you use 3 tbsp.

Every time I have bought pectin, it comes with instructions on how to use it. Did you check the label?

If, for some reason, there aren't any directions, there should be a website and/or phone number on the container so you can contact the company to ask how to use it.
