In the natural pursuit of both finding the truth and sharing it... that's the same for every man by our very nature.

    Why are atheists here? Because:

    1. Atheism is a valid viewpoint on religion.

    2. Some atheists are religious. Not all religions are theistic.

    3. Some atheists are spiritual.

    4. Somebody has to counter the misinformation often posted here.

    5. Creationists are often hilarious.

I don't "think" why do I come here. You ask questions of Atheists and Atheists answer. I would not want you to cry when you do not receive an answer to that which "you" asked!

I come here to help defend my self and rights.

To let believers know that it isn't just "their way or the highway". Also, to educate them on things they don't understand.

And, not to mention reminding them that religion and god needs to stay out of all schools, politics and laws.

Let's not forgot, all those questions directed towards us, see, they need our help.

To R & S? I come here to speak up about all the lies being spread. The believers here lie about everything from atheists to science to history to Christians of other denominations. Someone has to stand up for truth and honesty.

I know EXACTLY why I come here - to stop Theists presuming to speak for me, and to challenge the BULLSHIT that they would love to pass-off as fact. NOT on my watch.

Mostly to correct the lies you theists keep telling. Very rarely to answer a real question.
