read the other answers carefully,
but, yes, a sturdy piece of furniture can hold tanks up to about that size,
the real test is; is the top sturdy enough to not sag when the 600-800 pounds is put on it.?
and can you and 8 adults sit on your dresser without it falling over or breaking.?
and it has to be big enough to fully support the whole bottom of the tank...no tank hanging over the edge, not even a little bit.
if not, then buy or make a stand that can.
edit: you emailed me, but I can't email back, maybe you have email response turned off or it's a glitch...
There is currently a 250 pound tv on it, my and my brother stood on it and jumped multiple times, not even a squeak. I weigh 150 and he weighs 110. So I think it would hold but i'm not sure. Ideas?
if it's large enough to fully support the tank, and you add another person and his date, to your dance party on top of the TV, then yea, sounds good enough. BUT we're guessing here.
tank- 60-80 pounds US
water- 626 max, will be slightly less
rocks deco.- 50
filter/equip.- a couple pounds, like nothing.
total is approx = 836 or the equivalent of the tv and 4-5 of you guys, dancing around.
note: I'm having trouble with the 250 pound tv, that's really heavy for a tv.
