It's pretty simple. Want the best of the best graphics? Go for a PC. Want a platform that's easy to use and has the best exclusive games? Get a console.
Look, I'm not a PC gamer, but if somebody wants to be- hey, go crazy. All I know is, I don't care all that much about graphics- I care about enjoying a game, and a console is the best for that. With a console, all I have to do is stick a disc into the slot, boot it up, and play. I also get access to a unified online network (ala Xbox Live / Playstation Network) where I can chat and play with all of my friends. No installing, no missing DLL's, no system requirements- just me, the game, and my buddies. That's it.
With a PC, it's a chore to play. You can't sit on a couch, you can't play local co-op, you can't play every game on every PC, and worst of all- if any little thing goes wrong, you're whole game is FUBAR. Reinstalling, patching, searching for missing files on the internet, worrying about bugs, hackers, cheaters... Why would anyone want to do that? I don't care if the game has slightly better graphics than, say, a PS3. I don't care if a mouse is "more accurate" than a Gamepad. I still have to sit at a desk playing by myself and worrying about whether or not my game is going to work the next time I boot it up.
So, in conclusion, no thanks- I'll stick with consoles.
