Just apply and include that you want to live on campus.
Some colleges require that freshmen live on campus while others don't care either way. It's a good idea to give it a try at least your first year -- it makes the transition a lot easier on you.Source(s): Dorm Room Survival Tips or How to Get Along with Your College Roomate http://mycollegeguide.org/blog/08/2010/dorm-room-s... Choosing living on campus has nothing to do with your grades. Many colleges require freshman to attend their first year on campus. You will answer on your FAFSA form that you will want to live on campus because they will use that info to award you aid. Also, I highly recommend you go and tour the collegees s and the dorms. Many colleges have different choice dorms you can choose so look a all of them so you can decide. Dont look at the online tour and assume they will look like that, those could be old pictures and you want to see where they are on the campus, will you need to walk far to get to classes, etc. So take all of that into consideration. So when you accept a financial aid award from a college, the financial aid will be deposited into your college account. The college will take out their charges for housing, meal plan, tuition, small odds and ends college fees and the rest if any will be refunded to you by check or card depending on the college so you can buy books, materials, etc.
