Can you stand a desktop computer upright?

Like the computers they have at schools, how they're set laying down right under the monitor, can those stand upright?

Yes, they can.

well, you CAN tilt it up while its running, just be very gentle with it because as stated, the hard drive is quite sensitive to shock, and it doesn't take alot while its on. When they are off, they are much more durable as the heads are parked in a safe place.

yes but do not stand it up-right while its running, you can cause extreme damage to the hard drive, the head that goes in-between platters in the hard drive can bump into the platters and scratch it losing all that data, and possible causing the hard drive to fail

Yes they can.

BUT the cd drives wont work because it will fall out.

IT could run but the cd drives wont function correctly and will scratch disks.

And don't move it while its on.
