In case you weren't looking for a name and more of a definition...
I define human greatness as the ability to overcome almost anything and improve almost anything. I say almost because there are so many levels of greatness.
I personally think that I will be a great man when I am respected as a leader, family member, associate, and friend by the vast majority of people who have known me. I will be great when my own virtues leave very little room for growth or improvement. When my wisdom is vast. When my goals are met, my regrets are few, and my accomplishments are many. When the things I want are only for others since I am taken care of. When I can learn to love unconditionally, consistantly make correct decisions, and when I can be fully reliable and efficient.
I hold myself to a high standard though. For me, not becoming all of that is completely acceptable, however I am certain that in aiming for this idea of my possible future self I will achieve what others consider to be greatness. Maybe not everyone, but hopefully someday I will be remembered as a great man by some. Either way my life will continue to improve as I persue greatness.
Thanks for asking this question.
