    In Spanish, it's maize. In ground form, it's masa or masa harina.

    In French, it's mais.

    In Italian, it's granoturco, in ground form, it's polenta.

    Maize is another name for corn, but it's originally a Taínos (An native tribe in South America) word that is now used in Spanish.
