• Is it possible for me to build a shed?

I’m 13 and a total amateur in building. Like I don’t know a single thing. I want my own space and want to build a she shed! I’m thinking about getting materials from old buildings so they’re cheaper or free and I like the look of it. I think I can do this under $500. I have all the tools I need, I have a lot of wood already and I’m going to get some cheaper materials. So money shouldn’t be much of a problem. Is it possible to build this by myself with little to no help of an adult? I have no experience but I think I may be able to do it. Only my mom is able to help but she’s very busy so that will barely happen. I want to build it from scratch not the ones you but and put together yourself. I don’t want electricity either. Am I being too unrealistic?

  • How to keep small rented bathroom warm in winter?

My heating is on a timer I'd prefer to not have to pay to have heaters on the rest of the time. My bathroom has an extractor fan so there is always cool air coming in, it makes it very cold in there, what can I do to make it warmer without causing black mold as it's prone to black mold.

Best answer: "Grandpa" gave a good answer. Assuming your switch is a basic one...not a 3-way, the light requires 2 wires to operate.....a hot and a neutral/ground. In your case, the switch is making and breaking the connection to the hot wire. The neutral is totally bypassing the switch and going directly to the light fixture. It may or may not be easily accessible from your switches workbox. New switches have a connection for neutral, (usually a green screw off to the side) but it's a safety thing...not essential to the switch operating correctly. If it was my house and there was no neutral wire, I'd simply hook up the two hot wires and be done with it. The switch will be no less safe than it previously was.

Would they still be safe to use?
