Best answer: If those are the exclusive options, RO is preferable for most psychological profiles, as it is warmed-over Hobbsianism (reality ---> sensibility of logic per conceptualization (rationalism) ---> Hobbesian enlightened self-interest, a more insightful perspective than marx' more flawed psychologism). Nihilism is, as Nietzsche noted, simply a condition of frustration, rather than RO/Hobbesian Maslowian overcoming or self-actualization (Locke's and Kant's notions of social contract per enlightened self-interest). The Popperian issue with Locke, Hobbes, Kant and even Plato is the operational lack of oversight by the more successful in the society, thus the "open society" tending to become unjust, and justified by historicity or precedent rather than by more informed enlightened self-interest on the part of the haves to ensure equal opportunity, and just "weights and measures" by the established economic and political powers-that-be. Pitirim Sorokin did fundamental work with this cyclical process of the rise and fall of societies in his "Social and Cultural Dynamics."

Its color changes from green to brown sometimes, but it's usually green. I haven't touched it because I don't want to stress it. I feel bad 'cause I don't know if I should keep it or give it to a pet store willing to take it. Does anyone know the species of lizard in the photo? Thank you

I got my ball python in August and he still is refusing food, I understand ball pythons can be very fussy eaters and easily out off their food, and take time to settle in a new home/ environment. His Vivarium is perfect temperature, humidity, day and night lighting he has two hides either side and plenty fake plants and branches to roam around and hide in with orchid bark as substrate. I thaw his mouse then blow dry it until hot- still refuses, I’ve brained the mouse - still refuses, ( I use tongs), give mouse a little wiggle to tempt like it’s still alive - still nothing, he’s been through sheds no problem, I had him at the vets two month ago and they said he’s healthy, he is active roams around a lot at night ( I always try feed him around 11pm to go with their natural hunting at night), I have tried multi mice - still refuses, I’ve tried leaving it in the viv for a few hours - still nothing. P.s he is friendly, handles great, doesn’t hiss or bite, I don’t hold him for a few days prior to feeding day. I’m aware they can go into hibernation during winter but he hasn’t ate in 5 months and I’m concerned. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!! Thankyou

  • Are there any pet snakes that dont require live food? please read and reply?

Hi, i have always been interested in the idea of a pet snake but dont want to feed it live animals... or animals at all really, the idea of doing that seems weird to me, are there any pet snakes you can get that can just have some sort of food instead of feeding it live animals or insects? just out of curiosity!

  • Why does my ball python tense up whenever I touch it?

Best answer: It’s nervous and defensive. It’ll calm down with more handling. If it’s young, it’ll calm down with age as long as you hold it regularly. If it’s older that just means it wasn’t handled much.

Other that that it’s pretty easy. Oh yeah I almost forgot a screen enclosure is a must.

  • Should I get a chameleon when I have two cats?

I really want a chameleon but I have two cats, so I wasn't sure if it would be a good idea. They're almost two years old. I have a huge fish tank and they don't seem to even realize there's fish in there, but I'm not sure if it would be the same.

  • Found a garter snake in the wild? How to care for it?

My friend and I live in southern Washing and found a garter snake in a warm spell in the winter so we think he may be confused because he’s not supposed to be out yet. Should we keep him so he doesn’t freeze to death? (It’s about 53° F) Also how do you care for a garter snake? Thank you!

  • Have I killed My Frog???

Best answer: No, but long term use of chlorinated water is not good at all, especially in their swimming hole.
They absorb water and chemicals through the skin.
When I kept amphibians, I used bottled water that was de chlorinated, all my pets get that.
Your frog will be fine, any problems this soon, won't be for the water.
