More important is why the existing desktop has problems. Guessing that no basic maintenance of the system has been done.
Proper cooling. Cleaning up fans and heatsink of the CPU.
Hard disk is clogged with useless stuff. Should be 1/4 empty at least. Try the free Ccleaner program.
Too many utilities loaded on power up. Search how to use MSCONFIG.EXE in Windows systems to unload the operation so things like videos run smoothly.
There might be virus contamination taking over. Run one of these--Avast, AVG, Malwarebytes, Total AV, Trend Micro Housecall. Most have free versions that are just fine for normal use.
With no clue what link is between that desktop and computer, no guess how fast you should be getting video streaming. Run speed checks and talk to the ISP (Internet Service Provider) that is giving you data.

  • Brand new laptop updated and now has vertical line going down one side of the screen?

Best answer: Uninstall the driver. If it persists even with a generic driver then your screen itself is malfunctioning and needs to be repaired.

If it goes away, go to your manufacturer's website and download the latest driver from them directly.

  • Should I buy a demo laptop?

It's half the price of a brand new one. It comes with two years' warranty, so at least I can get two years of use out of it. But it's been on display for one and a half year.

Best answer: Look for a CPU cooler that supports the AM3+ socket.

The one you listed is for AMD Thread Ripper CPUs, so it wouldn't work with your AM3+ socket CPU.

  • My computer screen is bigger than my monitor!!! HELP PLEASE!!!?

Best answer: That's normally something you take care of using your monitor's menu. It is not a Windows setting. There used to be "Horizontal" and "Vertical" monitor settings that allowed one to adjust how much of the desktop was seen on the monitor.

(She s been using the computer for 2 years) So what the hell happened? She is not text Savvy enough to know how to delete a user account. So what happened to the original user account that was set up on her computer? No one else has had access to her computer, and the computer does not have any viruses. Is this just an HP computer problem? Is HP the computer virus? How could someone delete the user account, and set it up for first time use with a new user? As far as I know, they would need a Windows 10 installation disc in order to even attempt something like that. Any theories? Any ideas?

Graphics card benchmark scores of 2000+ will get you to playable at top settings. That is a good place to be because you may want newer games later.

Your second generation i7-2600 with HD 2000 has a score of about 200 or so.
Above 1000 gets the game running smoothly on 1920x1080 at medium settings.
As an online game, internet connection is important.

The Dell Optiplex 390 comes in Minitower, Desktop, and Small Form Factor.
    https://www.dell.com/downloads/global/products/optix/en/optiplex-390-tech-guide.pdf
Graphics cards plug into a PCIex16 card slot.
The minitower accepts standard height cards of double thickness to 75 watts power 7.4 / 24.13cm long max.
The Desktop and sff accepts low profile height of double thickness, but only to 25 watts and 6.6 /16.765cm long
Double thick slot cards in the SFF loses the pciex1 connector that may be in use.
The issue in the wattage is mostly about the power supply, and you can push the 25Watts a little higher.

As a 2nd gen intel, the latest card releases could have system software issues, but older cards use more power to their performance

    Which version of Optiplex 390?
    What country for shopping?
How much money do you have in mind to spend?

In the USA, ebay, newegg, Amazon for used cards is best probably.
