Even where 240v circuits are available in the US sometimes there are operability issues due to neither conductor being a ground reference.

In the off chance that lightning does strike your power line, your surge protector will stop the voltage surge from getting to your electronics. Even if your surge protector fails, most high end electronics (like laptops) have built in surge protection.

I've only ever had two laptops my entire life. This was an issue I have experienced with both but mainly with my "new" one (new to me but used in general). The whole screen will freeze and nothing can unfreeze it until I close the laptop and open it back up. Esc doesn't do anything, same with any of the other buttons. Unlike my other laptop where the audio would just keep playing or stop, on this one the audio blares into my headphones and it seems to play the same 1-2 seconds of audio over and over until I shut the laptop. It is truly bizarre. Anyway, is there a way to stop this?? I use Google Chrome by the way. That is my preferred browser. Not sure if that plays a role at all. Thanks in advance for all helpful suggestions :)

I asked this question before but people keep recommending other products. i am only considering one of these two iPads. No chromebooks, no microsoft, etc. im a college student, and intend on using it for school (notes) as well as for just watching netflix on and for travel. I've had an ipad mini (first gen) in the past and its been fine until it stopped updating. Are there any major differences between the iPad 6th gen and the iPad pro that would make it worth the giant price difference? does anyone have any experience with the two? im sort of leaning towards the 6th gen because its significantly cheaper for the amount of storage I want and since I'm going to be using it alongside a laptop, I dont really see the need to pay extra to have it compatible with a smart keyboard. Also, does anyone have any experience using either of these ipads with goodnotes and/or noteability? thanks!

  • If i print a black and white picture, will the printer only print the black?

Best answer: There's no white ink in conventional printers. All printers assume the paper is white. A commercial printer would be able to print white and black on a pink card.

Best answer: If all you want to do is backup an external drive and the contents are stable and don't change then all you need to do is to copy all the files from one external drive to another external drive using copy and paste method.

If the contents are frequently changing then to keep your backup up to date you would then only need to copy the new or changed files, in this situation you don’t want to clone the drive you need a backup solution - the two are different. Cloning creates a duplicate of the drive onto another drive, while this is a form of a backup, to clone a whole drive is time consuming and inflexible it only creates a snapshot image at one point in time. For a fresh backup you have to repeat the process. As the backup drive is a complete copy it cannot be used for anything else

A Backup solution such as acronis or macrium is different. This can be set to backup the contents of your computer or a single drive onto another external drive as a backup file. The initial backup does indeed backup all the contents. Subsequent or incremental backups need only to copy new or changed files, in this way subsequent backups are smaller and quicker, it also makes it possible to retrieve earlier versions of files impossible by cloning.

Also there is no need to duplicate post in other sections, this just creates unecessary work for answerers if the questions has already been answered elsewhere
