I am 18 and she is 15 turning 16 in a few months. We have been dating since April of last year. We already made it clear that there would be no sexual conduct going on, considering she’s a “minor” and I’m an “adult”. This was going to remain a simmered down relationship until she gets to legal age or until I ask for her parents for consult for sex. But, apparently, her parents (adopted) found out she was dating me and decided to press charges. I don’t understand their reasoning for pressing charges on me because I positively assure you that I haven’t had any sexual misconduct with this girl. Sure there has been some flirty text messages. But no nudes or exotic pictures were ever to be presented and the intentions of myself and her both know the rules in our state (Alabama). How can I defend against this? And if not how can I reduce these charges from slim to none? Are there any good attorneys or lawyers that are made for this exact case? Thank you.

I was saddened by this and the managers knew I was an outstanding employee. Is it safe to add this job to my resume or is it best just to leave it out?

So yesterday, i was trying to sign myself out of school to leave early so i could go to my interview but the principle stop and told me that i can't sign myself because i don't have my parents permission. I told him i was 18. But then he said that it doesn't matter. You're still in school. There were a lot of arguments about rights of 18 years olds who are still in high school. I believe that if an 18 year old enough join the military, die for their, get married, have sex, have children, vote, move out, rent a house, or do porn then they should be old enough to sign their sign out regardless if they are still in high school or not. And yes, i still live with my parents. But that's only because i'm struggling and work at a low paying job where i only schedule for a few days for a few hours. I don't make enough to pay bills. I'm trying to find another job where i can work everyday and get paid well. But even that, im still struggling to find a job that will hire me. The job that im working right now was the only place that hired me.

  • Can my employer fire me for this?

She says in the tax office that customers are complaining because I basically don’t have a smile on my face or that I “look unhappy.” Wtf. Next I will be charged for a thought-crime.

I am trying to sell my car that doesn t work on Craigslist. Some lady started emailing me saying she will give me $580 for my car. So I tell her I prefer cash but if you pay with a check I can t give you the car until the check clears which could take weeks. She says she s out of town and has to pay with a check. She we agree and then she starts emailing me saying that she s going to give me a check for $3950 and I have to take out the money owed to me and extra 30 for my stress and give the rest to the shipper and that she has other things that need to be picked up that day. No day has been set, so how is she supposed to pick everything up on the same day? I messaged her saying we are talking about a car so you would need a towing company. I also said that I don t feel comfortable having so much of her money for weeks until the check clears then giving it to a stranger . She responds and say she can trust me and the shipper and that she already sent the check. I just got the check today and it s pretty flimsy, every thing is printed and her name is not on it but a company from Nebraska is. It looks real other than these things. I think she is senile and if I sent the check back because I don t feel comfortable with this can she sue me?

I work night shift at a hospital. About two years ago there was a patient who came in unconscious (suicide attempt) after committing a murder. When I took care of this patient they were intubated on a ventilator (tube down their throat) and unable to talk. On a shift where I was not working, the patient had the tube removed and confessed the murder. Now fast forward to now, they just started getting to trial. His public defenders requested to depose everyone who took care of this patient (including me). I complied and let them know that I had not talked to the patient at all and that he had a tube in his throat. So I get a voicemail today 01/19 from my risk management department saying I m being subpoenaed for Monday 1/22. I work night shift so I sleep all day. My risk managemnt department is now closed. My questions: 1.I was given less than a week s notice, is this legal? 2.I work Sunday night. have a dental appointment Monday and the office is closed for the weekend, i cant cancel on Monday or there is a $50 fee. Can I request to quash the subpeona? 3. I was never officially served the subpoena. I was unable to talk with risk management. I never got anything in the mail. Can I be held in contempt for not showing? Thank you.

  • What's the law of moving out at 13? Thank you?

Best answer: Since you're 13 she's legally obligated to keep you in till you're 18 (in most states) and even if it was less than 18 in your state, I'm sure it's far from 13. If you have another relative you can rely on (uncle, aunt, grandparents) you could file a complaint to the cops and they'd investigate the issue, charge your mom and possibly imprison her, and I think you could have another relative as your legal guardian or go to foster care. But in no way you'll be 13 and living on your own. (for as far as I know.)

I know one person employed in a fairly low level job in a major corporation. The company adopted a new technology system. My friend was the only one who learned how to use the system. As a result, he spent most of his normal working hours helping others with the technology, and then did his own work after hours, with no overtime pay. In 2008, the company went through a huge downsizing- but my friend kept his job because he had essential skills and knowledge. Then they created a new position just for him to train new people on the technology- with a big raise. That's what I mean by making yourself indispensable.

  • How can I use Trumps religious freedom laws to deny service to members of the LGBT community?

Best answer: You should wait until the Supreme Court makes their ruling on this. Even then, since it sounds as though you're involved in the medical industry, you'd probably need to turn in your resignation letter and seek employment in a different industry that permits more religious freedoms.
