Best answer: Our tongues have microscopic receptors (taste buds) that can differentiate between different molecules they encounter. Via our nervous system they relay that information (send a message) to our brains. That's how for instance we can tell the difference between boiled potatoes and fried potatoes. Some molecules trigger a more pleasurable response in the brain, such as C6H12O6 (the sugar molecule) which is found in pop. God made our taste buds that way.

God has made it where we crave high caloric foods (such as those with lots of sugar and fat; think about an apple fritter). In ancient times, when we had to use our own energy to perform a lot of tasks (like walking to the market), we burned up those calories rather quickly, so it worked out well that those were the kinds of foods we wanted to eat. With the discovery and application of fossil fuels over the past 100 years or so, we now mostly use liquid energy to perform a lot of tasks (like driving a car to the market), and therefore don't burn up as many calories as we used to, thus in westernized countries, many are overweight.

  • Question !!?

Best answer: Of course it's okay. You can use it just like you'd use dairy milk. For my preference though, I don't care for it in coffee (you may or may not like it in tea). I like to drink it plain, use it in smoothies, and use it on my cereal, but it adds a flavor to my coffee that I don't like, so I use fat free (dairy) half n' half for creamer in my coffee.

Try it and see if you like it.

  • Coffee good or bad, there has been so controversy about drinking coffee. One year its good the next year its bad, what's your take on that?

Best answer: Remember in school, Science Fair Projects where you "proved" stuff you know it isn't. They still do in in College. They have to had a "study" to do something new -- such as coffee is "good" or "bad" depending on how you tilt the "facts."

If you're more of an espresso person, they do make espresso grounds or you can go all out and buy a machine. It's really not that difficult to make your own coffee and you can customize it any way you want to.

I order Venti sized drinks which I think is around two cups at Starbucks maybe every other day. I've only started ordering Ventis the past maybe three or four months regularly. The days that I don't I just get a Grande sized coffee or I don't drink any coffee at all. I've only read one article that counters this study. Should I reduce how much coffee I consume, or should I not be concerned? And do you think that with the amount of coffee I've drank so far the past couple of months, that my breast size has been affected?
