By the way, the retailers don't "like" to do anything but make money selling products. Also remember that "Human Resources" is there to protect the company, not the employees. In both cases, this is not "good" or "bad", it just *is* and helps define capitalism.

  • Am I allowed to ask an employer if they will pay me for transportation?

There is a new Costco that opened up and they are hiring. It costs me $4 to get there by bus and $4 back. My city doesn't have many stores that are hiring, most tourist stores and they only hire people who they know. Can I call a store up and ask them if they will pay,

Best answer: Well I'm not there yet but I imagine it's because they feel degraded and disrespected.

  • Is this considered lying on a resume?

Best answer: Yes, it's lying (although I suppose she did "complete" the courses, just not successfully), but companies generally wouldn't care about which specific courses someone took. Did she claim to have some sort of degree?

Best answer: Yes and no. You have to be prepared. No staying up late, no abusing your health. Once you get into the swing of it, it's pretty easy.
