From an engineering standpoint, what use is blood for a machine? Doesn t it coagulate and glog everything up? It s not good as a hydraulic fluid or temperature control. in the body it is used to carry oxygen everywhere. why would a machine need axygen? even if we developed biological machines, why couldn t they make their own blood like WE biological machines, do? Is there any conceivable use for blood, from an engineering standpoint?

  • What’s the difference between an electrician and an electrical engineer and the work they do?

    Best answer: Engineers as a rule, design. On paper or CD. Occasionally they build prototypes or fix their own designs out in the field that electricians can't figure out. An electrician does the work., Wires, builds control and breaker panels, mounts generators, etc, and rewinds/repairs all. To the EE's blueprints... show more

  • Multimeter shows voltage but does not shock me. Why?

    Best answer: Above answers are correct. But I'd look at it as: the voltmeter shows the voltage across it's terminals, and the terminals are NOT connected across your body. The voltmeter has 120 volts across it, you have a fraction of that across your body. If you connected another voltmeter across your body, it would... show more

    If you connected another voltmeter across your body, it would show a very low voltage, probably less than one volt.

    another way to look at it:
    your body has a resistance of perhaps 10kΩ, the voltmeter 10MΩ. the two form a series circuit with 120 volts across the two. By the laws of series circuit, the voltage across the smaller resistor (your body) is
    V = 120(10k/10M) = 0.12 volts

    BUT that instructor is an idiot and should be fired. Some voltmeters have a much lower resistance, as low as 20kΩ, which could cause a higher voltage across your body.

  • Why are some newer 600cc motorcycles faster than older 1000cc motorcycles? like a (2010) gsxr 600 compared to a (1995) gsxr 1000.?

    Does the older 1000 has more potential to make more power and surpass the newer and smaller bike due to a larger engine or does the engine size have no effect in todays modern engineering?

    Bernoulli and that came up with the thing where if the wings are manufactured in ways that the pressure below the wing is lower than the pressure above the wing than it should remain in the air. My question is why does it crash when it runs out of fuel if thats the case

I dropped a single piece of popcorn down the back and it looked like it annoyingly flew down the vent. What can I do? It's a baby Bellingham (?) And it's my landlords not mine so I cannot really start unscrewing pieces.

    Why can President Carter build a wall but Trump can't?

    Best answer: Carter was a better president on his worst day than Donald Trump will ever be, which is a pretty damning thing because he was fairly ineffective. Still, can you imagine Donald Trump holding a hammer and actually using it?
