  • Why do vegans think meat is murder?

By mass producing livestock just for humans to consume is considered a definite murder whether you agree or not.
Over 750millions pounds of grains are used as feed for livestock.
So don't tell me vegans and vegetarians don't have a heart cuz they a re killing a living thing as well.
It is how you look at it.
Some people will never change because they agree animals must be eaten in order for the population to be regulated.
But livestock are produced at a rate that is constructed by man in order for them to make a living. As if there aren't other jobs.

  • Why eat meat and dairy if you don't need them to be healthy?

I've been vegan 15 years. I'm active. I work out at the gym 4 days/week, mountain bike, hike, and I have a labour intensive job (carpenter). I feel great! So why do you need meat and dairy?

  • If you are a committed Vegetarian, would you eat a cooked Veggie-Burger that "Bleeds" red-hot beetroot juice?

Best answer: I'm an omnivore, so not inclined to eat vegetable burgers. I have had soy-based burgers that vegetarian friends offered. They really were not bad at all. Beet juice would be a taste I don't think I could acquire. Of course, it wouldn't hurt you whether cooked or not. Just how dedicated are you? ;) show more

i mentioned it a few days ago but my parents changed the subject. my stepdad kinda made fun of vegetarianism during dinner as well after i mentioned it. i dont want to be vegetarian because people are slaughtering animals, and it might be a bit insensitive but i dont care about that - people are going to continue killing animals so whats the point of wasting meat of an already dead animal? i want to be vegetarian because of the health benefits - and because i dont really like meat that much anyways, like i can eat it fine but its not something i crave or need in a meal. i dont think id be able to be vegan since i love my yoghurt and milk so its not like id be restricting myself from literally everything. tips?

I've been vegetarian for almost 20 years. Vegan for the last 10. I have never once talked about it or told anyone what they can eat. I'm not an activist. I live a regular life like anyone else, I just don't include animal products in my diet. It's that simple. Eventually friends and coworkers find out. Company lunches, going out for dinner, family events where there's food. A lot of times people will want to talk about it. Why I'm vegan, why I don't eat meat, they ask me if I miss meat, they tell I'm missing out and apologize I can't eat all the tasty food and I must be tempted. Then they tell me I should eat meat to be healthy and everyone needs meat and some even say I'm wrong for my choice. What gives? Does it really bother people?
