Veggie sandwich with whole grain bread (the kind with the sunflower seeds) with pepper jack cheese, spinach, cucumber, green peppers, sprouts of your choice, and lettuce.
Smoked turkey with swiss and romaine.
Tuna salad with chili pepper flakes in it for flavor.
If you have left over tender pork roast, you can make a pulled pork sandwich on a seeded bun. Top the pork with green chili and swiss cheese.
Mix some blue cheese with butter and spread on a hearty bread of your choice, then top with dried cranberries and spinach.
Sour dough bread, cranberry cream cheese, chicken or turkey, cucumber and spinach or romaine lettuce.
Cream cheese on a hearty bread, artichoke hearts (quartered), kalamata or black olives, pepperoncini, and mozarella. Warm up at work so the cheese melts.
Peanut butter and honey for the sweet tooth in you.
How about a simple corned beef or pastrami on rye with swiss and the mustard of your choice?
Grilled chicken, mixed greens and tomato. OR grilled chicken, ham slice and swiss or Havarti. You can use lettuce as a topper along with mayo mixed with horseradish.
    Ham with Havarti, dijon, lettuce.

Anyway, good luck. Just go to the deli section at the store where you shop and see what they have available. Just looking at what they have to offer can give you some great ideas. Also the bakery section should have some interesting breads for you to choose from.

Have you ever considered taking burritos for lunch? They hold up better than some sandwiches and don't have to be heated if you don't have the time or resources to do so. So much you can put in a burrito. Explore.

Or is it not really practical because of the way they make the cereal...like embed the sugar within the baked and dried food and therefore you can't really wash it out. I know some things like Frosted Flakes, you can see the coating, but for other cereals you can't really see a distinctive coating.

  • Rice - how much water do you use personally to how much rice to get a good pot of rice, not to sticky, not to dry?

I ask as I am making some for dinner tonight after not having rice for a while. I generally go 1 part rice to 1 part water with a little more water after that and it comes out like wood - terrible. But then I go maybe 1 part rice to 2 parts water - it's like soup. Any help appreciated - thanks! :)

  • Does 1/2 cup = 4 fluid ounces?

I m sure this sounds like a dumb question. I ve lived my whole life believing 1 cup = 8 ounces, and 1 pound = 16 ounces... I bought the Morning Star Crumbles and the bag literally says Net Weight = 16.2 ounces (1 LB 2 oz) [459 g]... then it says serving size is 1/2 cup or 50 grams, SERVINGS PER CONTAINER = 9....... show more

Okay well that s pretty close to correct for 459 as 459/9=51... but if there s 16.2 oz in the whole thing and a serving is 1/2 cup (4 oz)... Isn t 16.2 / 4 = 4..? So shouldn t that be 4 servings, not 9..? Unless there s some other kind of measurement I m missing??

  • Do you use a butter knife. for just butter.?

Best answer: You know there is a difference between a 'place' knife and a 'butter' knife? A butter knife remains on the butter dish. A place knife is part of the cutlery provided at each place setting. It is used to cut tender meats, veggies and to coax foods onto a fork. It may also be used to spread butter. show more

  • Keep the yolk intact or break the yolk?

When I fry eggs, I like the break the yolk and let it spread (this isn't scrambled eggs btw). I hate sunny side up ot when the yolk is centered in one area and left liquid-y. Do you like the yolk to be broken and fried or do you like to keep it together and really raw like a pimple about to pop?
