There is a lot of great land in bad neighborhoods close to downtowns of cities that could be used for middle class affordable housing. What stops developers from building gated communities there? What stops them is the fact that, most often, families avoid moving to bad neighborhoods because of bad schools (and crime). If a crime issue could be solved by fencing the area (if the area is big enough to feel comfortable there), why don’t developers build schools exclusively for middle class residents that live in that apartment complex? In countries like Ukraine this is often practiced, but I never saw it in the U.S. I understand that it might be hard to convince the government to fund such school, but maybe HOA fees could fund such “private” schools?

I'm over 18 and would like to save money in order to rent my own place. I live with my parents who are on section 8. My mom and I have worked in the past and the family's rent was jacked up too high to SAVE money. I don't expect to be on a social program AND be able to save money but I would like to move out. In order to do so I need money and a good amount of it. I would like to work full time or work two jobs but I would no longer qualify for section 8 and would get kicked out of my house and onto the streets before having enough money saved for another place. I have thought about stripping or escorting but that's really last resort and I would only do so for a short period of time just so I could move out and settle into a new place. But really that's last resort. I'm in school too. P.S The reason I want my own place is because my parents are driving me crazy.

I’ve literally been here for 6 hours with chronic sinusitis and someone who came in AFTER me with a “my elbow hurts” complaint is going in before me.. she’s been here for less than an hour!! The NHS is absolute garbage. I’m still sitting here like a clown sick asf but everyone else is getting help.

First my house was supposed to be completed in September, but since it's a new sub division they were too busy and overbooked so my house was barely started in September. My agent, who is supposed to be checking up on the home, is not doing so. I went to check on it and the kitchen was being laid out wrong. Also, an upgrade I made that cost $1200 ( and is in the contract) was left out. He's trying to compensate by offering other upgrades but it seems like too many issues. Mind you the home is still just the frame, it doesn't even have insulation yet. Any advise is greatly appreciated.

He wants me to still put aside $400 a week for our house savings ( he will be saving too) but rather then us putting our savings into a joint account, he wants to put it on his mortgage instead ( his home we will be living in) and if we break up, he will give me half back of what I have saved for our house and he’s keeping half for rent money for me living at his house. I would prefer to keep his investments and his mortgage separate from our savings and have a joint savings account instead. He said rather then me pay rent to a stranger why not help someone I love? I’m confused. He asked for a prenup and I respect that but why does he want me to put my savings on his mortgage? That’s his property separate from me. We are 50yrs old.

The primary benefit to a seller is it eliminates the waiting time involved in getting and closing a mortgage loan.
