• What mph must a 2014 Scion TC need to be at to side impact 2001 Accords left rear wheel then spin it 3 1/2 turns and 70ft?

I was turning left into my driveway at work and had turned on my left turn signal to indicate to the car behind me that I was making a left turn. I had already started to enter the driveway with the front wheels being about 1 or 2 feet in when I was struck on the left rear wheel by a 2014 Scion TC who was passing the car originally behind me. It sent my car spinning along the curb for 70ft and spun 3 1/2 times. The street has 1 lane for one way of travel and 1 lane for the opposite direction of travel which runs along the 5 freeway and has only a chain link fence to seperate the street from the highway. He hit me on the wrong side of the road and ended up going to the right after the collision but somehow completely missed the car that was originally directly behind me then landed on the freeway about 20ft further down the street then I ended up. I remember having trouble holding on to the steering wheel and keeping my butt planted on the seat because of the G-forces. At sometime during the spin my dog was pulled out of the back window and landed on the asphalt. The injuries I sustained were both my shoulders, twisted pelvis, bruised ribs, wip lash, head and spinal. I How fast was the 2014 Scion TC going in order to hit my 2001 Accord 4dr DX automatic trans to have caused such a fiasco? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you Eugene Castro

So I got home, left my car in drive with the keys in it, and just went in the house. I didn’t turn around at all walking into the house so I didn’t notice the car moving. We stay on a long empty street so the car probably drove itself to nowhere. My boyfriend and me searched everywhere for the car but it’s no where to be found. I’m so stupid. Why did I leave my car in drive? How do I get my car back?

Best you borrow from a friend. I sympathise. I tried to rent a car at 60, I had no major credit card but did have DL and insured with State Farm; even thou I rented from Enterprise twice before; they just barely let me rent.

Best answer: There are a couple factors. The technology has improved for automatic transmissions to the point that fuel economy and acceleration are better than manual transmissions can not match their performance, even with professional drivers.
Towing and moving heavy loads are even managed better by automatic transmissions, which is why even commercial vehicles are more often equipped with automatic transmissions.
Another thing is the population in the US living in urban/suburban areas now exceeds the number of people living
rural areas with more open roads. The lessened headache of an automatic transmission has pushed demand higher and higher to the point that it is now less expensive to buy a vehicle with an automatic transmission than a manual one.

Other than the thrill/nostalgia of driving a stick, there aren't advantages to owning a manual transmission today.
