Today we went back to the same road, went up and down 6 or 7 times and saw no camera, street was pretty bare so it’s be easy to spot! Also went onto a speed camera database online and it said there was not one there! It’s quite a new road so they could be lines from the old road but he’s panicking because he hit double the speed limit and I think the consequence is a ban/loss of license! Appreciate any help, please don’t put “ should have thought about that before speeding “ etc, just after some people opinions.

Is this a advisory or mandatory speed limit?

So there's this 20 when light shows, and further down the road there is a 'speed on green/red light camera' I slowed down to around 25, there is a static camera just down the road which catches drivers going over 30mph, but if this is flashing would the camera start to catch drivers going over 20mph or... show more

i'm trying to practice parallel parking using cones but i find myself having quite a hard time. usually when i set up the cones, there would be around 2 feet of distance in between the cone and the car (for both front and back) an i find myself VERY inconsistent with my parking. i absolutely cannot do it in just one motion. i usually have to go back and forth until i get it in (which obviously wouldn't look good in a driving test), or sometimes i just give up that attempt and just do another one. however, i tried increasing the distance to around 3-4 feet from the cone to my car and it was significantly easier. i got around 5 proper parks consecutively. but i dont know, im guessing 3-4 feet is a bit too long already? how much space will you be given in a driving test? how important is it in a test to park successfully in one motion? thanks

  • Seatbelt law?

Anyone else think there shouldn’t be a law to wear seatbelts? It should be by choice only. Considering buses don’t have any seatbelts and cars never used to, people also don’t normally wear them on coaches, why is there even a law to wear them in cars?

I failed my road test twice now. Kind of embarrassed about it but I want to move forward and fix my mistakes and pass. I'd appreciate any helpful advice to help me understands my mistakes better because the examiner just gave me the receipt saying try again next time and didn't really go over what I did wrong (except the parallel parking). Thanks in advance! My Receipt had: Parking, backing : Fails to adequately observe/ use caution = 10 pts Fails to anticipate potential hazards= 10pts Vehicle control : Delayed braking = 10pts Poor judgement approaching intersections = 10pts -My first mistake was that I got stopped at parallel parking because he said I backed up too close to a mailbox. If it was a regular driver they wouldn't even call it close but I understand that the examiners more strict on the distance. - Potential hazards I think he meant the mailbox as I was parallel parking? -The vehicle control or braking I don't really understand because I slowed down at all stop signs always stopping right before it into a complete stop and then go out slowly see left or right for any oncoming cars. - Poor judgement on intersections. I was quite unsure of this too because I was behind a car signalling left and the car made the left first and then I turned after waiting a little and checking for passing cars. Unless I was too slow? It's alot but I'd appreciate anyone helping me go over these mistakes.

So im taking my drivers exam tomorrow and was wondering if when im turning right on a green light, should I completely stop like you do at a stop sign or not? ( yes i know you have to look for pedestrians using the crosswalk or cars turning left.)

  • Is it a good idea to not allow people with alcholic beverages, cigarettes and drugs into my car?

Best answer: I too have a few rules about riding in my car: 1. No contraband! This is a little broader statement, it bans drugs and many other things which would give reason to have my car confiscated. It does allow a person to have tobacco products which does not bother me. 2. Wear your seat belt! 3. Hang on! Do not tell me to... show more
