I'm thinking abut pursuing a degree in information technology, but I'm a bit worried about whether there are enough jobs that I'd qualify for with this degree. Some sources seem to say that someone with a degree in IT would qualify for the same jobs as someone with a computer science degree. Other sources say that a computer science degree opens the door for many more jobs. I'm leaning toward the information technology degree because I'm not good at math, the courses look more interesting, and the degree is cheaper than a com science degree would be for me to get. Am I hurting my job opportunities though by going with this over comp science? Would love to hear from anyone who has experience with looking for a job with an it degree.

  • My mum's a software engineer, and I want to be one when I'm older but I'm really bad at computer science?

I can't code to save my life, but I enjoy theory and working in groups to solve problems (never individually). I would learn from her, but she's so strict and I always feel scared when she sits with me for my studies. Maybe an engineer isn't the right option for me? I'm 14 btw
