But 3.1 is not terrible. Its better than I had. I dropped out with a year and a half to go and I retired before 40 so its not the end of the world.

I quit school for a $200 a week for 50 hours job as an assistant manager of a pizza hut about 35 years ago. I parlayed that into about $500 a week with bonuses in about 18 months.

I hired a college grad at $3.35 an hour and he quickly became assistant manager and then he got his own store too. Because he was smart and willing to work hard.

  • What’s the difference between the deep web and the dark web?

Not so much the other way around. Much of what exists on the dark web is illegal material and it's rare to find it on the deep web, if at all.

That's because the deep web contains material that is out there, just not indexed in a way for the standard web browsers to find. The dark web uses encryption and can only be accessed with the proper decrypting software and the knowhow to use it.

Hello all - My name is Michael and Im going on 20 years old next Tuesday. I still have yet to go to college and I really have no clue what Im looking to do with the rest of my life. Technology has been something I've always decent with. I do enjoy my fair share of videos games lol. I took Visual Basic, Computer Sciene, Introduction to Java and Cisco Networking back when I was high school. Unfortunately, I was unable to afford the Computer Science AP exam costs ($92) so I did not end up taking it. However, my overall grade in that class for the year was a B. I would love to hear all aspects of what its like to be a game developer. The pro/cons and suggestions on how I could get my foot in the door. Thank you all in advanced! My biggest question - Is being a game developer satisfying?

  • How treat female colleagues who feel superior to you?

I have a quiet nature. Some new joiners feel superior to me because they feel are the top. Even one pretended i did all her work on her behalf. My boss defended me but he told me to relax. I get very nervous sometimes. It is hard for me. If you have any advice.

  • What are some accurate textbooks available on Amazon that can teach computer science or cyber security to beginners?

Basically I'm jobless and I wanna start learning skills so I can get a job. Please don't say go to college because I can't afford that. I have no experience in these fields so I need books that explain it pretty simply to people just entering the field.

I was hired to be a technical writer in an IT department. My boss is the Director. He has asked me to schedule more meetings and press progress forward with my colleagues. Scheduling meetings, asking for updates, etc. Project management. My colleagues don't see the value in technical documents and try to be nice working with me, but are latently frustrated as well. It adds to their already full plate. When we have stand-up meetings, my colleagues will make jokes at my expense, little cut downs and jabs. Often times the jab is very light but the group will roar with laughter like it was a big gut buster. For example, last Friday at our stand up meeting one guy was trying to justify lack of progress on his part and he told the Director (in front of the group) "Well I could get more done if Adam wasn't bugging me all the time." Everybody roared in unnaturally long sustained laughter. My boss, the Director, didn't respond or come to my defense, nor has he ever. I am a confident, professional person (not mouse-y at all), but I have never mouthed back when these comments are made to me. When the Director is alone with me he thanks me profusely, tells me to hang in there, and gave me a much higher-than-normal annual review and bonus. He also tells me "they don't understand the need for this role, but give it time." It's been about 1.5 years now and feels the same. What is the skillset needed to turn this around? How do I deal with this?
