You can intake more sodium and salty foods to retain water, drink water to hydrate yourself, and eat some good sugar to raise your blood sugar. If this happens a lot, you might not have enough sodium in your body to remind it to retain water. You can get socks (ankle, knee, or thigh high) that help regulate pressure as well if this remains intense.

I put an ace bandage on it and hobbled to school.
    It hurt terribly.
I came home and took the bandage off to examine it. Every place the bandage was the skin was black.
I must have torn something and it was bleeding and the bandage kept it contained.
Mine was also the size of a tennis ball.
I did not go to the dr and did RICE. I stayed off it and eventually it healed. It took a while.

  • Will I get food poisoning?

Best answer: Are you sure they weren't pre-cooked? If you bought them as frozen nuggets, they were pre-cooked; all you failed to do was re-heat them properly. If that's the case, there's no danger.

The symptoms of cellulitis are pain, swelling, redness (very red) and heat at the wound site (noticeably warmer than the surrounding skin). If you have a red streak running upwards from the wound, then you need to get to the hospital ASAP if you don't want to lose your foot. The fact that you are feeling sick means that your infection has spread to your blood stream. You could develop sepsis, which can be fatal. Head to the hospital NOW. Do NOT wait until tomorrow. Go NOW to the ER and tell them you think you have cellulitis so that you get prompt treatment..'

A week ago, I noticed a strange bump in my left armpit and it hurts to touch. And sometimes when I lift my left arm, it starts hurting. It feels like muscular pain. When the days go by, it doesn't hurt as much anymore and it seems to be getting slightly smaller, but the swelling is still there. It seriously feels like swollen muscle or something. Appearance wise, it's barely noticeable and doesn't look like anything's there unless you try to touch it. It doesn't look like any kind of blemish or rash there either. Looks mostly normal. Further details: I'm a 27-year old man and I haven't done anything like shave my armpits or pull a muscle in my arm lately. I use only a tiny bit of deodorant since it's pretty strong stuff. I currently don't have medical insurance since I'm searching for a good full-time job and trying to move up in the world.

I’m from England, live near Brighton so I was at Brighton beach, and went in the sea with my friend. We were just messing about in the water and it was very sandy which I assume was from the tide going in/out?? However I was walking along the sand as it was a level surface until about halfway past the pier, possibly further. I was walking along the sand in the water and it felt like I had been stung by a bee, perhaps trod on glass, only on my toe though. I was holding my toe and hopping about hoping he pain would fade. We stayed in the water for about an hour or two longer as I told my friend I would be fine and the pain would pass, it did reduce in pain after about an hour and a half, however was still very painful. It wasn’t bleeding at all, and was very pink and swollen. It’s been about a week and I’ve been searching for the answer everyday since, with no luck. It isn’t a jellyfish as there are no raised welts, and it wasn’t a stone fish as there aren’t any needles in it. It is now a slight purple-pink colour and still swollen.

  • Why is my pinky toe (fifth digit) super small?

I know that it would be technically slightly smaller than the fourth but it grows like a thick really tiny toe nail and is ratio wise smaller than the others. It isn't causing any problems I'm just a little curious.

I stubbed my pinky toe on some rocks around 6 hours ago and I have since bandaged and cleaned it, but I’m worried because the nail bed was peeled back and scraped up pretty badly on half of my nail bed to the point where you could see bottom edge of my toenail. The toenail feels like it’s barely on by a thread and I could easily take the entire thing off if something rubbed against it too hard. I’m not sure what to do or if it’s serious, but my toe is in a lot of pain right now and is throbbing constantly.
