I have 2 albums of music on my computer, I think maybe one photo, maybe 1 or 2 documents, and I've installed 2 programs (Scrivener and Musescore). And I have about 15-20 pieces saved in Musescore. How on earth does that eat up my entire hard drive? I have 186 GB.

Best answer: The special tool is Google, or no tool at all. There are programs out there which recognize the style of an author and can determine whether something was written by that person with reasonable accuracy, but it's much easier to just Google a random phrase or two.

Of course, the first line of defense is the professors themselves. It's really, really easy to spot a student that didn't do their work. The ones who don't show up half the time, and spend the other half on their phones, are easy to spot. They're even easier to spot when they show up wide-eyed on the project due date, walk stiffly up to the professor, plop down a thick research paper, and proclaim, "Here you go!" or something else that's forced and unnatural.

Want to know a secret, though? Universities don't really care if you plagiarize. Sure, individual professors might get upset, but the university still gets its money. And, students that don't do the work don't learn anything, and they can't hold a job after they graduate, so it's really just you ripping yourself off. Maybe you get caught and get expelled, or maybe you slip by, get a diploma, and end up working at a string of jobs where you're always the least competent employee. Either way, good luck with that.

    Best answer: Hello!

Windows 7 was a great operating system and if you like using it, then go ahead and keep using it! But keep in mind that since Microsoft is no longer actively maintaining Windows 7, you need to be diligent on keeping your system safe and secure. Microsoft will completely drop all support for Windows 7 with Service Pack 1 on January 14, 2020. If you have not already installed Service Pack 1, it is highly recommended that you do. This page has more information on Windows lifecycles: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help...

Some other things you want to make sure you do is to keep all of your drivers updated. This may mean you have to manually go to the manufacturer webpage for your computer yourself and download and install the updates on your own. Just because Microsoft is no longer updating your computer, does not mean that the manufacturer isn't still releasing updated drivers. This includes updating your motherboard's BIOS to protect against exploits like the recently discovered Specter and Meltdown.

Lastly, it is highly recommended that you keep an updated antivirus installed on your computer. Having an up to date antivirus will help protect your computer against exploits and viruses that Windows itself is no longer updated against.

    I hope this information helps!

  • Can you boot a Windows Vista PC from a flash drive?

Best answer: ISOs are for CD/DVDs. You just don't extract and copy an ISO to the flash drive. You have to make the flash drive bootable also. Use Rufus. To break the 700MB CD barrier, use DVDs. They reach 4.7GB. If the Vista PC doesn't have a DVD drive, install one.

  • Any free programs that allow you to easy paste a song onto another song?

Best answer: Look up "Music sample" programs. "Sampling" was a 90s thing, but I think there are still websites that offer music for sampling for your project with a different but easier format. Good luck.

Best answer: Ram is where a program that you want to START is copied into(from the hard drive) and then it RUNS inside of, that RAM space.A program itself can require MORE RAM that you actually have which is allowed, as an OS can cope with Swapping in additional parts of an EXE(the program) whilst its running which generally means that no program is too big to run although it may run slowly if a lot of swapping occurs. The contents of a game cd may contain huge amounts of data, much more than 4GB(eg screen backgrounds and Actor images etc) this Occupies the HARD drive and is often copied to the GPU card which has its OWN RAM which it can use to make very fast animations of characters or backgrounds/effects. The amount of GPU RAM IS CRITICAL to a game. CPU RAM is also important and there will be a minimum amount needed which is RARELY as much as 4GB. However, be aware that when a pc has 4GB of RAM, SOME OF IT may be RESERVED for the built in GPU that comes with the CPU and therefore this may reduce the available RAM for programs to as low as 2.3GB depending on what LCD screen size you have and what features you have enabled on that GPU. So a pc used for GAMING may already have 2 GPU's the simpler onboard one, and the 2nd GAMING one which has its OWN DEDICATED RAM which could be 2Gb, 3GB,4GB,6GB,8GB or more. This is not available to your OS and is only made available to a Program like a GAME. A game may pre-load this special RAM with animations/characters/backgrounds etc when the game is first started. THAT RAM is ON THE GPU CARD. No matter how much SYSTEM RAM a pc has(4GB, 8GB,16GB) or its hard drive space(500GB 1000GB) a GAME will not execute properly without the required GPU DEDICATED RAM(THE STUFF THATS ON THE 2ND gpu). IF YOUR PC DOESNT SAY IT HAS A GPU WITH DEDICATED ram(EG 2GB,3GB,4GB,6GB,8GB) then it wont be capable of playing many many games.

If you have Windows 10 now, whatever is next will show up on your computer as soon as it's ready. Also you'll pay $8 or $10 a month to use Windows. I don't know how that will work or how well I'll like it. We may all become Linux experts.
