  • I want to turn my wireless TV into a wired one but the TV does not have an Ethernet port?

Best answer: Forget the HDMI port - that's for video and audio only nothing else.
It's unlikely there is any ethernet to USB adapter for your TV. If there were it would probably be device or brand specific.

So the odds are that you cannot do this, if it is possible it'd tell you in the user manual!

  • How do l find out if my flat screen tv is HD tuner?

Best answer: If it was made after 2010, it almost certainly has a HD tuner. However your TV's manual will give you the definitive answer.

  • Do CRT TV's still emit radiation while plugged off?

Best answer: CRT TVs do not emit X-rays. The misunderstanding stems from the fact that very high energy cathode ray tubes, specially designed for that purpose, do emit X-rays. But comparing one with the other is like expecting a low energy flashlight bulb to do the same job as a powerful theatrical spotlight. No TV emits... show more

  • Will you be buying a 4K Ultra HD TV and Ultra HD 4K Blu ray player + discs in 2018?

    Best answer: Yep.

I only have a 4mbps internet connection - on a good day - so 4K Netflix (or streaming 4K anything really) is right out of the window regardless of quality. Discs are still king until everyone can get ultrafast internet at home without taking out a second mortgage for it.

  • Why does my dvd player make a noise when I put it on top of my old tv?

Best answer: There is a slight imbalance when the DVD player is in use. This creates a slight vibration which might be an up/down vibration or a side to side vibration. When you place it on your TV in one orientation, the vibrations creates a resonance that you can hear. If you dampen the resonance, say by adding the weight of a stack of CD on top, you can't hear it so well - maybe not at all. If you have the DVD player in a different orientation, the vibration may not be present or may be too weak to create a resonance.

  • Loud pop from TV, but no lasting damage. What happened?

I have a Vizio flat-screen TV that is about 3-4 years old. I was just now using it when I suddenly heard a loud pop, the screen turned rainbow static, and after a few seconds the TV turned itself off. I was able to turn it back on immediately with no visible problems. What happened?
