Hi, I haven t watched cable in a while and I noticed that spongebob was on in the background so I decided to turn it up and see what all the fuss was about when I was younger. I noticed that the sound would come a second or two before the video, it was a very noticeable delay. So I reached over my aluminum laptop to fiddle with the coaxial cable and I noticed that when I m touching the coax cable with my fingers and touching my forearm to my laptop body, my forearm gets all tingly. I m wondering if there s a problem with the way I have the coaxial cable routed/set up or if this is normal? I d understand the science behind the arm and the laptop and all but I don t understand why the most accessible part of the coaxial cable might be putting out electricity?

  • My soldering iron won’t melt solder?

I have an ECG JSSA2 and it won’t heat up unless it is all the way at max heat. Once I turn it down to a t minimum (the melting point if the slolder I use) it won’t heat anything. I’ve tried warming it up for a long time. What should I do?

  • What happened to my cassette tape recording?

I have a voice recording on a cassette tape, but I went to play it and all I heard was this sound. I tried another tape and it played fine. What happened to this tape? Did it somehow get erased? That recording meant a lot to me. Is there some way to play it? Here's the sound: https://instaud.io/2lTf

  • How can I get a stripped screw out?

Just to be clear, I've tried the rubber band method along with all other different materials. It's in a REALLY awkward spot and it's a SUPER small screw. I'm also hesitant to put super glue on it, cause it is nearby electronics that I don't want damaged. Any suggestions?

  • Do I need a step down transformer or is a plug adapter good enough ?

I got a Griffin Twenty 2.1 amp imported from US to UK but it came with a US wall plug which I forgot. On the device it says Input:120V - 60Hz 1A It doesn't mention that is dual volt so I'm kinda worried to use the adapter plug.
