• Does the gender pay gap compare men and women doing the same work?

My women’s studies professor said the wage gap proves employers discriminate against women, but I thought it didn’t compare equal work to equal hours. I’m confused.

  • Are younger or older men more likely to beat women?

Best answer: Domestic disputes are more often seen with younger people. I would think that domestic disputes among older people are likely to be more violent. Older adults can have more restraint but can lash out more fervently when pressed.

As an habitual distance runner who's been accused my whole life of being anorexic I get that body shaming is hurtful. But there's a difference between fighting to get "normal" body types (i.e. not model thin) to be accepted and just turning our hearts, veins and lungs over to life-threatening obesity.

Best answer: "How can we force women to do the same work men do and end the pay gap once and for all?"

That could only occur through the hands of the law. So why not use a sweeping legislation style technique like affirmative action since feminists seem to like having the government imposing on people (men only, so far) in order to get results? Let's make laws whereby some women will be denied the right to choose their jobs and be given a list of only high paying jobs to choose from ... for the good of reducing the "gender pay gap". Especially since given the choice, too many women don't choose high paying jobs.

Goodbye child care workers or "executive assistant", or comfortable office jobs, and goodbye part time and only day shift. Hello sewer line workers, iron workers, miners, oil riggers, construction trades and so on. Let's get this "gender pay gap" straightened out as most people claim they want it.
