    Best answer: To answer your questions, albeit in a different order than asked...

    4) Cross-Platform support is a reality. This was originally done as console-PC cross-play, but has expanded to cross-console play. Here's a few noted titles with cross-platform support.

    * Sea of Thieves -- XBox One / PC (Windows 10) Support -- The game runs on the Universal Windows Platform, making the porting process easier & more natural for Rare to allow PC players to interact with XBox One players via the XBox Live network.

    * Minecraft: Bedrock Edition -- XBox One / PC (Windows 10) / Mobile (iOS / Android) / Switch Support -- As part of the "Better Together" Update, it unified all the platforms under ONE engine to make things easier to update for all the platforms as well as networking. The PS4 version does NOT run on the Bedrock Engine.

    * Rocket League -- XBox One / Switch / PC, PS4 / PC Support -- Rocket League on PC has the widest cross-platform support has it can play with all the major consoles. HOWEVER, a PC Player CANNOT play with a PS4 user & an XBox One OR Switcher user at the same time. Psyonix is working on creating a unified user system for their game.

    * Fortnite -- XBox One / Switch / Mobile / PC Support, PS4 / PC / Mobile Support

    1) Playstation 4 users can play with PC & Mobile users, but NOT with other consoles. Sony doesn't seem to have issues allowing their user to play with non-console users, but NOT with the rival consoles. This has become a marketing point with Nintendo & Microsoft with Minecraft... as both companies (at least in the US) are practically neighbors (if you look at the map of Redmond, WA... you can see how close they are to each other).

    Rocket League & Fortnite already has the infrastructure in place to allow the PS4 to play with other consoles, but Sony execs are the ones who are blocking this. Their current thought process is "We're the best console to experience these games & we don't want to sully this by mingling with lesser systems" (This is not verbatim, just a high generalized & oversimplified explanation). Microsoft has mentioned their willingness to open up online gameplay with other systems, which Nintendo has eventually joined with the Switch (the 2/3DS family remains separate, but that's more on a technical level).

    2) This isn't applicable, but once Sony "comes to their senses" & change their mind to allow cross-console cross-play, Rocket League & Fortnite will IMMEDIATELY become available for this. Mojang would most likely add the PS4 support to the Bedrock Engine of Minecraft in the foreseeable future (might be a few months, but it would happen).

    3) Finding friends on other platforms is one of those trickier aspects with cross-platform support as there's no unified method to do so. Using the examples above...

    * Sea of Thieves utilizes the XBox Live network, which makes it seamless for XBox One users. PC users have to use the XBox App to manage their friend list & handle out-of-game communications.

    * Rocket League is creating their own "Rocket ID" system that will give every player on all platforms a unique ID to use within the game. There may be some notation on platform(s). PRIOR to this, players only know they're in a cross-platform match is that other players have the "PSY NET" logo as their avatar picture instead of whatever they selected on their system... this is mostly done for compatibility & a minor concession to avoid offensive avatar images leaking through (as PC players can use practically anything they want, as long as it abides by Steam's ToS).

    * Fortnite utilizes their own Epic Games account system to handle the friends list stuff. Users link their platforms to their Epic Games account so you don't have to add multiple usernames for one person. Please note that accounts linked to a PS4 CANNOT be linked to an XBox One nor Switch AND VICE VERSA due to Sony's current decision against cross-console cross-play, so it's possible for one player to have two separate accounts as a result (with two different set of assets).

    There are bound to be more games to include cross-platform support, but Sony users will most likely be left out of it until the execs change their mind.

  • Is the setting of "Final Fantasy 7" cyberpunk?

    Best answer: No. It's more steam-punk / diesel-punk, maybe magi-punk.

    Cyberpunk implies that computers are ubiquitous - to the point where they're even implanted inside of people. While there certainly is technology in FF7 there really aren't any computers.

    Best answer: While for the Earth, seasons are controlled primarily by the tilt of our axis and where we are in our orbit, other factors can come into play, such as the distance from the star (which in more irregularly elliptical orbits can vary more), having an axis that wobbles, or being a dwarf planet that orbits with it's moon(s) around a central orbital location.

    In GoT, the seasons are of seemingly unpredictable length, with winters usually lasting around a generation, and the current summer lasting around 7 years. That kind of unequal variance, if done by a single effect, could only be an oblong elliptical orbit. But such an orbit would have to be rather extreme to have that much difference, would have much more severe variance in climate as a result (to the point of being pretty much uninhabitable by multicellular organisms), and would be much more predictable. So, for it to be possible, it almost has to be some combination of these effects. Something like a mildly oblong orbit + a wobbling axis that has an unusually short period + actually being a large moon orbitting a planet that they call their moon, and all of these having periods of duration coordinated in such a way that what they call a year is not actually the time it takes for them to orbit their star.

    Honestly, with how long the winters are, it would be highly improbable that any animal life larger than small rodents would ever develop on that planet.
