• How much is a phone bill for IPhone 8?

Best answer: This depends on the package that you bought, and not the type of phone you have. I have a pre-paid plan and only pay a minimum of $20 a month. If you get a pay as you go plan, you could be paying $50+ a month. I always choose a pre-paid plan a) because it is precisely what I want (I only use my phone for calls and... show more

  • Question about SIM card!!! Dad is switching his with my old one...?

My dad's phone stopped working, so he's switching his current SIM card with the SIM card from my old phone (which still has all my old pics, texts, contacts, etc.) Does that mean that when he puts my old SIM card in his phone, that he's gonna be able to see all of my old stuff? Thanks!

  • I spilled ice coffee on my galaxy 8, and it won’t charge because there is moisture in the port, what should I do?

Normally with Water I just blow dry it and it works fine, it didn’t work this time, and I let it sit overnight in rice. It is water resistant, I’m not sure about creamer and sugar resistant. What should I do? Am I just S.O.L?

  • Is it possible to get a cell phone that will ring more than about 29 seconds?

I changed to Consumer Cellular because my friends phone rang many times. Mine did too, at first. Now it rings about 26 seconds and I called customer service and they said they cannot make it ring any longer. (like they never could). It goes to the answering message before I have time to answer it.

Best answer: While this does vary by carrier, most will allow you to "buy out" your contract by paying any ETF's (if you have a contract w/ a subsidized phone) OR the balance on your phone (if you're on an installment plan). This will NOT impact your service UNLESS you wish to terminate your service with your carrier as well.

If you wish to just "buy out" your contract / phone, just contact customer service with a credit / debit card in hand to make the necessary payment & ask the customer service rep about it... Don't be surprised if the rep ask if you're considering changing carriers (since buying out your contract / phone is a warning sign).

If you just want to cancel your service altogether (& deal with the ETF / remaining balance on your final bill), just contact customer service & request to cancel your service. Please be aware that you will typically be sent to their "Customer Relations" department (aka "Retentions") in the process as they'll try to keep you & may give you a special one-time offer in the process... but it's your choice if you wish to stick around or proceed to cancel your service.

An alternative would be to visit a Verizon store in both cases, but you may have to wait on the staff (depending on customer load & staffing levels).

As for the replacement plan, double-check the details on it... If that's similar to "Mobile Insurance", you can utilize it without affecting your contract time or payment plan. HOWEVER, you will need to utilize it BEFORE you cancel your service as you'll lose it once you services are terminated.

Best answer: You're being felt out my telemarketers by way of robot dialers. By answering, you have indicated that yours is an active number. It will be entered into their call list and you'll likely receive one or more calls from live people trying to lie money out of you. Never pick up infamiliar calls. If the call is legit, a voicemail message will be left. If there is a voicemail message, you'll be able to tell that it's fake by the robotic voice and the tempting offer of a refund by a company that's going out of business. Don't answer unfamiliar calls.
