Let A(1, √(3)/2) be the given point of tangency.
Point B(1, 0) is the projection of A onto the major axis.
Point V(2, 0) is the major vertex on that side.
Point C is the point where the line of tangency meets the major axis.
Point O(0, 0) is the center of the ellipse.
Major radius OV is the geometric mean of OA and AC.
(OA)(OC) = OV²
(1)(OC) = 2²
OC = 4
C(4, 0)
You now have two points on the tangent line, A and C.
