  • was this alcoholic experience really that serious ? any expertise in this area would be helpful?

almost 7 months ago, around Christmas time I had supposedly drank to much vodka and had passed out, or so my brother says. I know alcohol poisoning does exist unfortunately but I honestly don't think I had it. I had drank 1/2 of a 1.75L bottle of bankers club.

    http://www.aatiffany.com/index.php?main_page=produ...

when I woke up I was in the hospital w/ breathing tubes down my throat. and the doctor said I had a 34.5 BAC . was this alcohol poisoning or was it something less serious ?

  • How does a soul work for conjoined twins ?

Was wondering if souls exist, and every person has them. Then do siames twins have 2 souls ? How does that work ? Because if they share a joined body, the must share a joined soul, right ?

So if one of them becomes a logical skeptic, andthe other an air-head who believes eveything people tell him, does that mean they both go to hell or heaven ? What are the spiritual legality rules concerning this ?

  • What is the population of life?

I feel a little odd asking this question here, but I was wondering for all you people interested in statistics for your professional opinion on the question....................

i know there are currently are almost 7 billion people on the planet, and estimates have been made there have been 100-108 billion people who have been born in the last 100 thousand years since neanderthals appeared, but if you had to speculate how many living organism are existing and have existed, since life began 3.8 billion years ago ? remember I don't expect a precise answer just a logical educated guess.

this includes all animals (including humans) plant, fungi, archaebacteria, eubacteria, protists... since the first amoebas ? I was just curious because I have not seen any attempted guesses on the figure ............

  • are my friends arguments against evolution & a 4.54billion year old earth valid ?

hi. me & my friend were arguing about the age of the earth, evolution & other theories. & he had 2 r points against mainly evolution, I want to see if these points are valid, or mistaking.

1.) he said that a 4.54 billion year old earth doesn't make sense, because the calender can only hold a 4-digit number. he questions how one would write out a 10 digit number year on paper, with out saying the full number. like saying 20-11 instead on the year 2,011. how would you shorten the year 1,000,234BC? for instance.

2.) he states that the earliest written records go back to 4000BC. if humans started developing 120K than why are there not written records from 40,000 or 50,000BC. what was mankind doing all those years? why did civilization just spring up around 6000 yrs ago ?

  • why do people force their opinions on others ? ?.?

i don't mean to be offensive, but why do some anti-abortion/euthanasia constituents, feel the need to make people w/ mental\physical ailments force to live through threir conditions, & women who made a mistake in their life, be forced to have an unwanted pregnancy ?

if they think its murder why don't those same people protest against slaughter-houses & SPCA for putting unwanted animals to sleep ?

if you're against abortion, would you feel good if you found out that the child was later given to foster-care & had a miserable life, due to lack of family, money. all because you instructed the mother to go through with the pregnancy ?

  • i have a question regarding evolution(specifically) phylogenetic-tree?

my laymans understanding of history of life is that all extant creature, plant, fungi, bacteria came from prehistoric monera around 3(bya). I

was thinking about the first single-cells, I wonder were they got the traits to go on to become more advanced creatures in Cambrian-explosion. & at what point in history did the existing fungi, protists, plants, arechrea-bacteria, animals, algea, eubacteria break-off. also if you have any links to a depth tree showing the major prehistoric animals could you please post one? I'd like to know what animals were relayed to prior to existence of primates. & in regards to abiogenesis do you think it happened on earth or on another planet ? & was it one single-celled ameba, or did multiple arise at once, thus adding to diversity later on ?

  • Are cigarettes dangerous ?

I know cigarettes causes lung cancer and respiratory disease after at least 30 years or more of smoking. but unlike alcohol or prescription medications, I have not heard of any-one accidentally over-dozing on cigarettes or cigars, in one sitting. is there such a thing as nicotine poisoning. If there isn't does that make it more safe then alcohol or medication?
