I want to apply for a credit card. I would never use it for the purpose of purchasing items with money I do not have. I will ALWAYS be able to pay off my Credit Card payments within the hour if possible.
What I'm not sure about, is whether there would ever be a charge for using a Credit Card in general? I do understand that most credit cards charge for cash transactions such as using a cash machine/ATM. But for general purchases in stores or online, would I ever be charged any extra than the product cost itself? For example a monthly or annual charge just for using a credit card.
As I mentioned, I would pay off any sum as soon as possible as I would always have the money at the ready - I would be using my credit card as if it were a debit card, mainly to build up my credit rating and to gain any advantages that I would benefit from in the future.
I also understand that there are different types of credit cards which offer different policies, but wondering if there is a general rule here.
Many thanks in advance for any answers.5 AnswersCredit8 years ago
I want to buy the BB Internet Service for a friend, but he's currently not anywhere near my location at the moment. Is there any way I can purchase this and just give him a code or something? It's the £5 a month service or £20/6 months. What methods are there to purchase this for him? Thanks in advanced.1 AnswerMobile Phones & Plans8 years ago
I bought some Logitech speakers for my room, X-530. It has 3 connections (and my laptop obviously has 1) and I can't be bothered to wire my own or any madness like that. So I was doing some research, and found that these will enable all speakers to work on my laptop.
My enquiry is, however, although the sound will come out of all the speakers, will it be true 5.1 surround sound? It seems like a very cheap shortcut and may be too good to be true.
Will it work fine, or will I need to invest more for a 5.1 sound card for my laptop?4 AnswersHome Theatre1 decade ago
Basically my cat had kittens, and we've sold them now. But we sold them to a family friend who is in regular contact. After a few weeks/months, would it be bad to bring them back home for a day while the new owner visits? Or is it best that they never see each other again?3 AnswersCats1 decade ago
My Acer Aspire 5520 won't go past the screen resolution of 1024x768, but it should be 1280x800. How to fix?
Ever since I installed Windows 7 on the laptop, I only have the choice of 1024x768 or 800x600. The laptop's natural screen resolution is 1280x800.
Because of this, everything is stretched and bigger than it should be. How do I revert the screen resolution to it's right state?2 AnswersLaptops & Notebooks1 decade ago
Okay so the battery icon is missing. I click on "Show hidden icons" and it isn't in the hidden section. So I click on "Customize" which displays all shown and hidden icons - and to my surprise, the battery icon IS there. However, no matter what option I pick (whether I choose to show it or hide it) it will always be hidden.
I plug my charger in and take it out and it still does not display.
What is wrong with it? Could anyone help me? I am using the HP DV6 1216SA.7 AnswersLaptops & Notebooks1 decade ago
I have an HP Pavilion DV6-2030sa.
It came with Norton Internet Security 2009, a 60 day trial version. I recently purchased Norton 360 3.0 (a "better" version of Norton) which has 3 users. My friend installed one, and in order for me to take advantage of the full 365 days I had to install it today. So before installing, I uninstalled Norton Internet Security and it said to restart. When I restarted, every time it comes to the log on screen the system just goes blue screen and restarts.
I can only start the laptop in Safe Mode.
I restored the system to an earlier date (last week) and it worked fine. I then tried to install Norton 360 and it said to restart. As I restarted it, the same problem occured - it goes blue screen on the log on.
Is this problem to do with Norton, or my Laptop? How do I fix this problem? The preferred outcome would be to have Norton 360 on my Laptop with no errors. Please help. Thanks.4 AnswersSoftware1 decade ago
She is 6 months old now, but whenever we feed the pets the dog hates eating the dog food and always eats the cat food. Even when we feed them individually, the dog will not touch her food then waits an hour for the cat food.
She will finish the cat food where as she may take 2 or 3 bites out of the dog food. We have tried different brands, but it seems to be dog food in general. Is that a problem?30 AnswersDogs1 decade ago
I just bought a few DVDs and I am about to go on holiday. I want to watch them while on holiday however I do not have a disc drive as it is a Netbook.
I am using my laptop right now which does have a disc drive. From the start and very basics, how do I convert the film on the DVD to a playable format on a pc/laptop? Preferably to an XVID file around 700mb.
(I am quite knowledgeable with PCs and software, I am just not familiar with this type).7 AnswersSoftware1 decade ago
I have a Nokia N97 which comes with an FM Transmitter.
But I was wondering, could anyone tell me what the audio bitrate is? To the best of my knowledge, the average audio bitrate on FM radio is 96kbps. The reason I am asking is because the music seems to be of a higher quality than normal radio.
Would be a big help if anyone can answer. Thanks2 AnswersMusic & Music Players1 decade ago
It involves a boy who breaks his arm, but once recovered he discovers he can throw with mass power and accuracy and becomes a pro-pitcher.
Could anyone help? Thanks4 AnswersMovies1 decade ago
It was released either early this year or last year.
Basically, the only way I can describe the film is to say the ending so read at your own risk of spoiler lol. It is about a family I think who move into a house, and there are ghosts... at the end of the film it turns out that the main characters were in fact the ghosts and the ghosts throughout the film are actually alive people.

I have seen the N97 on eBay, as unlocked. I am on T-Mobile, however I have learned that the N97 is not a T-Mobile phone. It is possible to unlock.
I messaged the person, and they replied with the following:
Hi, the phone is sim free GSM stock which means it is supplied direct from the manufacturer of the phone, factory unlocked with no network logos or software. The item is supplied to you as described in the listing brand new, boxed and un-used. Thanks
What does this mean lol. He got it directly from Nokia? What I want to find out is whether the phone is brand new. If it is unlocked, how can it be brand new? He is saying he got it directly from Nokia. Is that possible?

Basically my cat has breathing problems we think, and so when we took her to the vet they gave us Corvental-D.
"For the treatment of bronchitis and congestive heart failure in the dog"
and has dog paw prints all over it, and keeps on mentioning it is for dogs. I rang the vet, and they said it is fine. I just want to double check if it is fine, because I don't want to give my cat dog medicine!4 AnswersCats1 decade ago
I never had speakers, so recently I bought a Logitech X-210, plugged it in and set it all up on my desk.
However, the Sound icon at the bottom says "No Audio Output Device is installed".
How can I make the speakers work?
P.S. it did not come with an installation CD.2 AnswersOther - Hardware1 decade ago
My phone has been stolen and I have blocked both the sim card and the handset. Can the phone be unblocked?
BasicallyI rang up T-Mobile and got my sim card blocked and my handset (Nokia 5800).
I was told that some dodgy phone shops can unblock the phone, but it depends on the security of the actual model. My phone is fairly new so I can only assume it has the newest security.
What I don't want, is for the people to unblock my phone so they can use it or sell it.
Is it possible?
P.S. T-Mobile also told me I can unblock my phone myself if I find it by ringing them up and giving them some details. That means some way or another, it is possible for the phone to be unblocked.8 AnswersMobile Phones & Plans1 decade ago
On my most recent pay slip, it says I have been taxed a total of £490.
My manager has asked me to fill out a P45 form which I think will stop myself getting taxed so much. I have also been told I can claim back my £490 because I am a student.

There is an official release but I don't think my network supports it. It says it should be available in the Downloads! section but it is not there, even after I refresh it.
So, I have decided to find another way. I don't want to use online versions like eBuddy, I would rather have an application on my phone.

I remember I had to charge my 3310 for about 16 hours before I could use it lol.
The booklet said charge the phone, and when the bar stops scrolling and the battery is full. It has only been 2 and a half hours and its full. Is that normal? Should I leave it on charge for the meantime just in case?
(For those that don't know, when you buy a new phone it is best to charge the phone FULLY before switching it on as you will get the full potential out of the battery.)7 AnswersMobile Phones & Plans1 decade ago
The wireless has been turned off and I don't know how to turn it back on. It isn't Fn + F2 because that brings up some settings which does not give me the option. Anyone know what I can do?2 AnswersLaptops & Notebooks1 decade ago
