My 7yo son (will be 8 by this time next year) asked us tonight if we will die, and if he will die.
I told him yes but he didn't take it well and I told him I would look into how the research has been developing. Based on current life expectancy trends I figure without treatment I have at least 75 years left and he probably has about 115, so there is a lot of time for a cure, and we may actually be the first generation to live forever. He is going to bed in 20 minutes but I can tell he'll be up for a while and wants the lights on tonight so a positive outlook would certainly help. My wife is in there with him right now.
I also got in an argument with her because honestly it was my fault for watching "Final Destination" with him last night for Halloween. He's probably too young. I don't know what to say to her either.3 AnswersMedicine12 months ago

Wife says to just get a small image of Paddington, the character. I do enjoy the character and I did enjoy the first film but it's specifically the second movie that was more 'transcendent', watching for the first time gave me a warm feeling I never want to forget. Because the first movie didn't necessarily resonate the same - I don't think it's literally 'the character' of Paddington I am drawn to, but specifically the 2nd film as a whole. And I am worried without Paul King directing Paddington 3, they might ruin the series and an image of Paddington wouldn't hold up. So the plan was to get the movie title "Paddington 2" not sure where yet. Wife veto'd it on my chest above my heart. Wife voices concern so I am looking for opinions/advice from tattoo lovers, cinephiles, wives, you name it.3 AnswersTattoos2 years ago
Democrats are starting to announce their candidacy - wondering what the next 2 years will look like.
How long until we have our full list of candidates? Party debates? Primaries? How much happens in 2019? And depending on republican opposition, when does Trump get involved?
Asking for my wife obviously I know the answers as I've been through this before but told her I'll post it to yahoo and save her the trouble.2 AnswersElections2 years ago
I have an old eneloop charger and older batteries that no longer hold much of a charge. I want to get a 4 pack of these higher capacity pro batteries. Do I need the 'pro' kit with another charger, or will my old basic charger work just as well?2 AnswersOther - Electronics2 years ago
My understanding of the deal - unlock business/oil sanctions in Iran in exchange for imposing harsher nuclear sanctions, minimize their ability to build weapons. Trump keeps saying this is the worst deal for the US - why?

The wife and I were having an argument last night about how much trash should go into the bin and how much should go down the toilet.
Common logic would suggest anything that fits is ok. She says it is harmful to the environment but some would argue it is environmentally cleaner because of the water processing and less waste for garbagemen to pick up, with less physical waste to transport in the long term it saves them time, tax payer money, saves garbage bags (plastic waste), less pollution from their trucks, less landfill space on our land, cleans the trash properly.
It became a issue last night because I was stomping on a cup from wendys so it would fit down the drain, I threw the plastic lid in the trash, but the plastic straw came back up after flushing and she saw me cutting it into smaller pieces to flush better and she started yelling in front of the kids.25 AnswersGreen Living3 years ago
